When you first make the decision to bring a puppy into your life remember that the puppy will grow into an adult dog and that this adult dog will need just as much love and care and attention as your new little cute bundle that you bring home. Making the decision to bring the pup home with you should include considerations such as; do you have the time to devote to your new pups exercise? Do you have the room you need to allow your pup somewhere it can call its own? Do you understand your chosen breed and its need of exercise, food, and grooming? Taking the time to think about these things before you bring your new little puppy home will help prevent your new pup becomming just another sad statistic for the various pounds that have 1000's of new dogs finding their way through their doors every year. Pointers are a breed that require a large amount of exercise. They need to have off leash running ideally daily which will decrease their levels of energy. Sadly some pointers are finding their way into homes not well suited to their energy levels, esspecially as young dogs. These dogs are finding their way into pounds as the people who purchsed them, didnt understand their needs for exercise. Pointers are best suited to family's and those people who are willing to take their new addition for a walk every day to stimulate their mind. Pointers will thrive if you take the time and energy into exercise and obedience training. They are so well suited to family's with children as dispite their size, they are gentle and the worst they can do is knock a small child over. If you do not have the time and energy to dedicate to a young pup, perhaps consider either an adult dog, or a rescue dog. Whatever you choose, a puppy or an adult dog, remember to buy from a registered breeder. We are bound by a code of ethics and your pup will come to you vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, vet checked and with pedigree papers. Without these pedigree papers you can not be guaranteed the pure bred status of your dog. Buying from a backyard breeder will only perpetuate the cycle of dogs and puppy's finding their way into pounds. Lilly's 'Topgear' litter has landed. DOB 07/11/08. 11 puppies, all liver and white. 6 males, 5 females. Sired by the lovely "Harry" Ywurrie Ulrich (FTCH Whitesmoke Rusty x Wingfield Deed IMP NZ ).
